CromarPier

Witton is excellently well situated for all sorts of activities and sight seeing. Within 9 miles lies the town of Cromer, which boasts a pier, two museums, wide open beaches, spectacular cliffs, glorious walks, and a cinema with three screens. It is renowned for its Pavilion Theatre, which amongst other events hosts the traditional End of Pier show. Whilst it still retains the air of Victorian and Edwardian charm at its heart, a recent regeneration programme has enhanced this as well as introduced new facilities, new businesses and fashionable and unique shops into the town and on the seafront.

Norwich, the twin cathedral city known as the capital of East Anglia, is only 17 miles to the south. With a castle built by William the Conqueror in 1067, the medieval Guildhall, the old market square of Tombland with its Georgian houses and famous Maids Head Hotel where Queen Elizabeth 1 slept in 1578 and not forgetting the thoroughly modern Millenium Plain and The Forum, Norwich is a truly historic city sweeping through the very early ages up to the present day. According to new research, Norwich has more cultural activity than anywhere else in the UK relative to population size, making it a great place for a day trip from Manor Lodge. From alternative comedy, classical music, top West End musicals or Indy films and live bands, Norwich, with its plethora of arts venues and year long programme of entertainment, offers something for everyone. Add to this stylish cafe‚ bars, pubs, clubs, cinemas, theatres restaurants, nightclubs, concerts, exhibitions and festivals and the choice is endless.

Manor Lodge is situated in an unspoilt rural position off a small country lane and surrounded by farmland in a remarkably unspoiled pocket of open countryside between the coast and the broads and adjoining the Honing Estate to the south.

Despite its rural position the property is within easy reach of the coastal attractions to the west and the Broads to the east. Norwich, the regional centre of East Anglia lies within half an hours car ride to the south and the thriving market tow of North Walsham is about 4 miles to the west whilst the coast at Happisburgh, with its sandy beaches, is about 3 miles to the east. Wroxham, the acknowledged centre of the broads network is about 6 miles. Known for the fantastic array of visiting resident and migratory birds, the salt marshes at Cley are easily reached within 40 minutes and the vast expanse of beach and dunes at Holkam are less than an hour away.

North Norfolk has so much to offer the visitor and holiday maker,  whether or not you are here for a short break or a longer holiday there is so much to do and see and experience that one trip will never be enough to this very special and unique region of the British Isles.
